THIS IS THE PIPPIN’S NEST BROODER

Keep your valuable chicks safe and warm with this state-of-the-art brooder. Completely solid-state and computer-controlled, it maintains temperature just as you’ve set it.

The large LED readout shows both temperature (Fahrenheit or Centigrade) and humidity (percentage). You can set the temperature spread from 0.1 degree to 10 degrees or more. 

Are you worried about power failures during storms or in rural areas? Pippin’s Nest is set up to run on A/C or D/C power. If you have a charged battery attached, and your wall power goes out, it will automatically switch to the battery. Your chicks will never know, and neither will you, unless you look at the indicator lights!  When wall power resumes, your brooder will return to that power source.

Disease transmission is always a concern in the bird nursery…but if you can easily clean your brooder between clutches, you’ll minimize problems. Pippin’s Nest comes apart easily, fits in a home dishwasher or standard-size sink, and is able to be disinfected completely.  Though the electronics should not get wet, feather dust can be blown out of the components with compressed air, and disinfectant can be sprayed onto the blower and heater with no problems.

Because it comes apart so easily, the Pippin’s Nest can be stored in a fraction of the space required by standard brooders.

The Pippin’s Nest has an exclusive back-up thermostat that is pre-set, and will not allow the heater to come on if the brooder interior temperature is above 98 degrees F.  This is independent of the electronic controller, and provides unparalleled safety for your birds, and is the only brooder that we know of on the market that has this feature.

The Pippin’s Nest comes with three power cords: one to go to the wall socket, one for the cigarette lighter in your car, and the third attaches to a standard car or marine battery.

All components of the Pippin’s Nest are easily replaced, either by us or by you. This means that you won’t have to replace your entire unit just because the door broke! And the power cord that your cockatoo chewed can be replaced by a standard computer cord purchased at your local electronics store. Other components can be replaced by Pippin’s Roost as necessary, and sent to you by express mail.

MODEL CT:

Designed to travel with you, this brooder sits on the passenger seat next to you while you drive.  It has a top opening, which leans against the seat, allowing you to get a quick hand in to separate fighting chicks. The controls and read outs are on the side of the brooder facing you, the driver, so you can quickly glance to see the temperature. And it plugs into your cigarette lighter while you’re traveling, and into the wall socket when you get home.

MODEL CF

The same size and dimensions of the CT, the CF has the door and the controls on the front of the unit. Power cords plug into the front, underneath the controller. This allows you to put several brooders on shelves, stack them or push them back against a wall.
